WINDYCITYJOHN400 Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 Heres an idea...don't think so hard about reinventing the wheel. Tim at Titan racing has used the stock stator, CDI, flywheel (although sometimes it's a lightened one) and nothing more than a NOLOGY coil to set plenty of world records. The spark only has to be strong enough to spark the air/fuel mixture without being blown out. The NOLOGY coil will fire any thing you throw at it. (Other than a totally flooded cyilinder) No need to go designing a custom system to act more like a welder than a coil. MSD makes good stuff too, but in 90% of the motors out there, the stock stuff will work best and offer longevity. (PVL's are light....but they fail more often than a ricky stator.) Quote
