bonerific250 Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 Just to the head off pistons look good cylinders both still have cross hatches, the only thing is, is at the front of both their is a polished look with a little light scoring that you can feel with your finger nail if you drag it across it. The motor was rebuilt this summer.Their is no loss of power,no knocking is this somthin to worry about? and if it is could i just get away with a fresh honing and rings? motor is already .020 over. thanks. crustydemon Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 Did you do a compression test before you took the head off? That is the thrust side of the of the cylinders so the polished look is normal. If the scoring is very light you can just run a hone down it and throw in a new set of rings. It would be a good idea to mic the bores though just so your sure there within tolerance. Quote

Thanks for the info. Quote
