It runs great I have no complaints. But you know how it is.... its never enough... Im just like most of the people on here... I wont stop untill I have a super cub putting out 120hp.. lol ...Looking to spend about 500 to 700 on it. What would give me the best bang for the buck... Im good with the wrenches so I will be doing the work myself. Would porting/polishtingbe worth the money or is there something else???? Thanks for the help!!! Quote
crustydemon Posted November 17, 2009 Report Posted November 17, 2009 Porting is where its at. If you do some shopping around you should be able to throw together a ported 4 mill for under a grand. I would recommend upgrading your pipes for sure. I have just always had something against fmf's. Quote
AKheathen Posted November 17, 2009 Report Posted November 17, 2009 well porting is the next big bang after pipes. however, if you plan on going further later, you are going to want to do a stroker, and you usually can't with ported cylinders, as the extra stroke needs different porting. you have alot of life left in your cylinders, so it's up to you to decide whether you will be happy with stock stroke porting.....or you will have to make the jump strait to 4mill.. there are options to run a 4mill crank, without porting for a while if money is an issue, but you will really be holding back power if you don't port it.
