So i just picked up my first shee a few weeks ago and just got back from sand mountain,nv. The bike came with some old cheng shin paddles that were worn out and really hard. Needless to say i used the tires to get me through the weekend but they just did not hook up very well at all. So i plan on getting some haulers on before i go up next i just am not sure what size would work best for me. I mostly sit at the drag hill and screw around with buddies even though my bike is not that fast but o well. I also do a little bit of duning. My mods at the moment are pods, squish head, shearer small bore inframes(i understand probably not the best pipes at the moment but way better then the stock ones the bike came with and for the price and direction i plan on i couldn't pass) and +5 timing running on 100 octane. Any help here would be great thanks guys

21x12x8 (8) paddle haulers on douglas .125 wheels

agreed.

these sound like the right tires for you, but you may want to go with a little longer swing arm. those tires will get a ton of traction and it'll be hard to keep the front end down on your launches. i think those and a +4 swingarm are exactly what you're lookin for.

i plan on a +4 swinger or so in the future. just need more power first. as for the rims how do i tell what they are? I do know they are an 8 inch rim which is a plus but other then that no idea

oops, i just re-read what hilarious wrote and for some reason i was thinking he said 22X11X8. 22" tires seem to be the consensus when wanting a hill climb/ drag tire.

for the rims, just measure the width of the rim. if the tires are still on the rim then just measure the off-set, you should end up with something like an 3+6 (would give you an 8X9 rim).

the bulk of my riding would be uphill drags with the occasional duning.so for this i should stick with the 22x11x8 8 paddle? cause that is what i have on now

yeah, stick with that size. later on down the road if you port it or end up going 4mill (or bigger) you will end up buying a tire with more paddle but for now with the mods you listed an 8 paddle will suit you the best.

to be honest i am hoping to get some vf3's and port it as soon as possible

well, i guess the way I would do things would be:

1. get it ported

2. longer swing arm (like $200 off ebay)

3. new tires. (amount of paddles depends on the length of swing arm and type of port)

4. Vforce 3's

the reason for recommending a 21" tall tire was that you mentioned occasional duning.

from my experience the 21" worked really well dragging, hillclimbing and duning.

with the 22" the larger side wall had a bit more flex to it for my liking while general duning.
