dunner250 Posted October 25, 2009 Report Posted October 25, 2009 mods, fmf fattys, ported cylinders, new top end, milled head, k&n, no airbox, jetting, main jet 300, pilot jet is 30, needle in middle position at sea level. Have tried swapping plugs, swapping spark plug wires, have cleaned carbs, have sinked carbs, compression at 150 each cylinder, also haven't noticed any oil or a loss of coolant. Here is a video of what it's doing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=quAhaMRdhNA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mi02kDC2qUw Any help appreciated! Quote
ELKARACING_SHEE Posted October 25, 2009 Report Posted October 25, 2009 its the jetting man, looks like carbs aren't synced properly, and on the last vid looks like the right side's plug was fouled, try putting brand new plugs in it, and go with the jetting to 270 or maybe even 280 and if it still running rich then keep going down on the mains, until its not soo rich, once you think you got the right main then try it out and if the throttle response suck at 1/4 to 3/4 throttle and wide open runs good then play around with the pilot and the needle Quote

Also, I have to keep my thumb on the gas to keep it running and when I let off it dies. Is that an idle adjustment or just another jetting issue? Quote

ELKARACING_SHEE Posted October 25, 2009 Report Posted October 25, 2009 yup the pilot should be around 27.5, its bogging alot man even when your giving it gas, it should be a high pitched sound when your reviving it not a low sound, to be more exact it shouldn't be sounding like a 250r Quote
