easy question for most of you

Recommended Posts

Ok most guys on here are going to tell you to stick with the two carb setup, why are you wanting to go to a single carb? No you will not get the same power otherwise there would be no reason to run to carbs. You will have to rejet the single carb, think of it like this way, your taking away half of the fuel and air mix going down to one carb. You may gain a little low end, but you will lose alot of top. The only benefit i see of having a two into one carb setup is ease of tuning.

What kind of riding do you do? Do you generally find yourself looking for more low end power? What kind of pipes are you running?

2 into 1 will give you HEAVY low end response, and take a lot off the top end. Like he said. ^^ PT Mids or anything like that, you should use a 2 into 1. Looking for more top end power? (For example, duning or wide open riding.) Then you should have 2 carbs. (Good for CPIs, T5s, anything like that.) Depends on what your plans are really, what you're looking to get.

33mm 2 into 1 vs. 2 33mm carbs? Not even close...you're cutting your fuel flowing abilities in half. 2 33mm carbs will obviously flow double a 2 into 1.

Bottom line: 2 into 1 is for low end applications.
