bansheedude1 Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 I have just purchased a set of toomey tr6 pipes. So all together my shee now has: toomey t'6 pipes(270 jetting), v-force 3 reeds, k&n air filter pods. I am going to get +4 timing plate and bigger carbs here soon. But i need to know what gear ratio would get me my desired top end. i heard toomey tr6 have high rpms for none ported engines so i bought a set for 250$ on craigs list. I would like to at least be able to do high 70's - mid 80's(mph)in top end. Not faster or slower. I am at stock gearing right now which i believe is 14/42 and i get right at 72 mph. would 15/41 get me to high 70s if not more? I have been thinking about getting porting done but im unsure weather it would take to much reliability out of the quad or not. Unless i really need it for the top end im hoping for. any advice would be strongly appreciated, thanks in advance guys. Quote

sleeper06 Posted September 26, 2009 Report Posted September 26, 2009 On a lightly ported stock bike I hit 88 mph in the 1/4 with 15-40 Quote
Toomey Banshee Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 With pods you need bigger mains. Quote
