Motor Seized NEED HELP

My 87 died this past weekend. I pulled the jugs off and the right side piston ring is fried. Not a big deal. The problem is with the jugs off and the pistons free the motor still wont turn. Does this mean my crank is seized? i really dont want to have to rebuild the entire motor. that gets really expensive. Please any help or ideas would be great.

Gunna have to split the cases to see if the piston frags are holding up the crank or if the crank is toast. Either way, it probably needs cleaned out. As and engine builder, I am giving you sound advice. Buy a Clymer manual and follow it on crank inspection and go from there. If the rods are not free, there is a big problem. I have been able to save a few that felt seized but usually frags get in the bearings. Even if it "feels" free, once bearings have been damaged, their life cycle shortens quickly.
