ok im planning on gowing to the dunes next month, i finnaly got rid of the fmf sst's for some shearer's sbif pipes, my bike is a stock stroke 392cc with a cool head 20cc domes! when i got this thing it was in pieces the top end is all fresh and bottom was gone threw, i was told that the cylinders were dune ported by fast! well ive learned alott since then and now i know that the cylinders have had some intake porting thats it so id even say they are stock! my long run plan is to get a set of pwk 35's and send these cylinders to fast to get a drag port and opt for 18cc domes, but no stroker! like i said id like to go on this trip so my question is how will these sheare's work on stock cylinders temporarily? and should i jet my stock carbs for these pipe's or would i be better off getting the 35's now? ill say it again its just one trip and as soon as i get back its tear down time! i just got a itch to get away and ride for a few days!!!!!!

 

also with 80. over ultra lites, cool head 18cc domes, dragport's, pwk 35's, vf3's, plus 5 timing, sheare's, on race gas what kinda power can i expect. it was at 57hp with the fmf's and vm26's

Shearer's will work fine on your dune ported clinders and yes you need to jet your stock carbs.

 

You need to ask yourself if it's worth the cost to dragport cylinders that are already .08 over.

 

FAST duneport, 35's and Shearer's that bike's gonna rip. If were up to me I'd run the piss out of that set-up and If you need more, wait for a good deal to come along for a cub set-up.

 

57 hp now, I'd say mid 60's with the 35's and Shearer's. Just my guess though.

like i said after doing some tearing down and investagating ive found out that these cylinders were not dune ported the only part that was ported was the intakes some people have told me thats called a mx port, so knowing this witch set of carbs will work better

for my trip? yes i will have to rejet either! so what im asking is will 35's be to big on less than a dune port? mmmmmmm cubs!
