wemow Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 This is my first post so please take it easy on me.Yesterday we took my 04 banshee out to bultcher texas unloaded it off of the trailer and it started on the first kick i rode it around easy till it warmed up then headed to the red river to do some raceing.well we got to the river and we stoped to talk a little so i killed it when we got ready to take off it started on the first kick went about 5 feet then it died hasent ran since.well i tore into it and discovered i have no spark i tryed new plugs and checked all the plugs,wires,tors checked the coil and the stator the best i could i checked the kill switch and the key switch has been bypassed.now when i kick it the lights will try to burn could i have a bad flywheel key or what please help and thanks. bbcmudtruck Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 Get a Clymers manual. It has step by step process with pictures on how to test all of your electrical equipment. It will save you money in the long run if you don't have to buy stuff that doesn't need replaced. Besides that, every banshee owner should have the clymers bible! Quote
wemow Posted September 8, 2009 Author Report Posted September 8, 2009 That happened to mine last dune season and it turned out to be a bad wire in the wiring harness. thats what it was it was a broke stator wire going to the back of the bike.the clymers bible is a life saver thank for your help.
