ok so quick background on my 4 mill

i was told by my quad shop that id b ok 2 run 93 octane in it

well i tryed but it bogged like a mutha

so i went to cam 2, 100 octane, it was running much better but after a lil bit the plugs kept comming loose so i went to the shop yesterday and asked my buddy bout this.. he called vito's and asked, they told him that the motor keeps detonating, that i need 2 run a higher octane which is no problem

my compression is real high so i think like 180-195 range, but my ?? is do they make plug locks? i looked online but came up with nuthin

If you have to run plug locks, you have a serious problem and the plug locks are junk just a FYI. Bump up your fuel or drop your comp if the plugs are backing out. That a sign thats somethings not right. Its a band aid running the plug locks ..and it will eff up anyways if your not running the right fuel for your comp.

You need to run VP110 with the high of compression man. Or something equivalent to VP110.

no plug locks, just figure out your compression and then use the correct fuel for your altitude. My plugs were doing that on my 421 and it was because I wasnt running high enough octane fuel for my compression. 50/50 race gas mix fixed my problem.

What brand head are you using?

Although, as far as I know, it should not matter. If the plugs are backing out, there is a problem somewhere, not the brand of head.

what elevation are you at? 16 cc domes are tiny. I just checked the compression on my 350 with 19cc domes, and it is kicking 180 psi at sea level. You might need bigger domes. I would think 16 cc domes would only be ok at high elevation or maybe methanol.

my elavation is at sea leval live on the coast.... would going to a like 18cc or 20cc dome cause a huge loss in power to fix the problem... running menthanol or alcohol isnt really option where live its kinda hard to get ahold of trien to avoid that.....

I'm at 160lbs at sea level with 20cc domes, I'm running av gas now, and it seems to be working out well. I think Rubberneck is right, you need bigger domes.
