MarineNYC Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 Got some Hids for my 450. Its a kicker motor. Do I need a Battery to run these. Or can I just wire up? Trx build is coming along nice. I miss my shee but let me tell u. This trx is no joke. Thx in advance for any advise. Quote
Snopczynski Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 You need a battery to run hid's. It's probably already converted to dc, so the led lights I use would probably work without a battery. The goki kit doesn't mention a regulator/rectifier so i imagine its already got one stock and is converted to dc from the factory. http://gokimfg.com/cgi-bin/web_store.cgi?p..._id=687013.7634 Quote
MarineNYC Posted August 23, 2009 Author Report Posted August 23, 2009 Wow What the hell are u talkin about. Ok . I have to run a batt. but steering somone in the direction of a kit that cost over 500 is insane. I dont know? Maybee I misunderstood u. I can wire a small batt and run the hid then. I know this. and it can be done for under 100 bux. Quote
vulvafan537240 Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 i dont think snop was telling you to buy the kit. i think he was saying that since the kit didnt come with regulator/rectifier, it probably already has one so all you need is a battery. i think the link was just for illustration purposes  Quote
MarineNYC Posted August 23, 2009 Author Report Posted August 23, 2009 Oh shit. Sorry. Thanks for the info Snop. Quote
