Wade Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 Ok, My left hand side Mikuni Carb leaks/dribbles fuel out the verrry bottom port. I believe that is the drain port. Well I took out the carb drain screw and cleaned it off, put teflon tape on it, and tightened it all the way back in. The port still leaks/dribbles out fuel when I am on the throttle, etc... any insight? Thanks, I have learned a lot in the weeks I just got on here! Quote

Your float is set to low in that carb, Raise it up a mm or so and be done. Could be your seat also but its proly your float. Set it and be done. Quote

Wade Posted August 19, 2009 Author Report Posted August 19, 2009 I never worked on a carb or seen much into one. new at this. could be interesting. THANKS! I thought if the float was out of spec, the overflow tube would puke fuel. NOT the lower very bottom drain port under the bowl Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 HAHA sorry read that wrong i thought you meant the over flow was leaking Well if its the drain plug like you just said there should be an o-ring in the drain plug for it to seal when screwed up into the bowl. Go check it out. Quote
AKheathen Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 no, there still is a little dump tube in the bowl that bypasses the drain screw when the fuel is too high. back to float adjustment  Quote
