hows it going guys new here... so i got this problem with my 01 banshee.. my tranny seems 2 be slipping 1st and 2sec gear.. it only slips under load when i give it full throttle what i mean by slipping is it seems like is skipping a tooth on the tranny.. it shifts fine into all gears and rides fine at low speed but when i take off it seems like the tranny is skipping a tooth or something. also every time i change the gear oil i get ALOT of metal shavings... i just replaced the clutch and springs... any help would be great... THANKS!

You will be putting down the most torque to the back wheels in 1st and 2nd. You need to make damn sure you are NOT jumping sprocket teeth. That is very common and sometime not obvious. Front sprocket more common. If that all checks out, you may have a damaged gear in the trans that needs replaced. Silver fines are common in the oil due to friction materials from the wet clutches. Cannot get away from it. That does not indicate a trans problem but chucks of metal are a problem...

Thanks a lot... I will take a look at the sprokets and chain... I just noticed that I was missing the chain tensioner closest to the front sproket so I'll find one and hope that fixes the issue.. Thanks

also, check the sproket hub. mine just wore out enough to slip on the splines sometimes, in 1,2,and 3. it was a little loose before, but now it's blatently obvious that it's shot
