mopar1rules Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 ok guys, working on a shee here and have a spark issue.....it will spark on the 1st kick, but then no more. i've replaced the spark plug caps, coil, cdi box, stator, flywheel, and pickup coil and still no change. maybe there is a rub-thru in the wiring somewhere, where the wire is getting grounded out on the frame?? any ideas fellas? TwistedSheeRida Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 unplug your key switch wires and put a wire between the two wires and see if it is that just had the same problem and thats what it was Quote
twizted269 Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 also check the wires that run along the side of the air box. ive seen the exhaust melt those and ground losing spark. Quote
mopar1rules Posted August 3, 2009 Author Report Posted August 3, 2009 thanks guys. it seems that it was the ignition key switch connection, as i unplugged it and then just plugged it back in, and now i have great spark. i fired it up and got it going, but now when i turn the bars or drive it, it will die, like the connection keeps coming loose, or the bars are pulling on some wire or something. i'll have to look into that tonight. thanks for the tips.
