My mate bought a 03 banshee the other day, between all of us who ride we`ve had a few of them and have been great but this one is rather slow, I checked the compression and am getting 120psi both sides, the plugs look good and cleaned the carbs.

The whole bike is stock and is in pretty good shape, when we picked it up it wasnt idling either but I sorted this and it now idles fine.

After cleaning the carbs and checking the reeds, putting in fresh fuel and 2 stroke it seemed a bit better, popping wheelies.

We went a run and it was just crap, screaming but going nowhere slow any ideas.

reving with no power, could be lean on the jets

Sounds lean to me. . . Itl be obvious if ur clutch is sliping though. . .at What rmp range is it crap? U can check that way if its pilots or mains. .try droping the needle clip to richen it up abit. Mayb itl be beta then u know its to lean

this may sound dumb but the sure way to ck the clutch is warm it up till bike loses power, come to a dead stop and put it in like 3rd gear, rev it up and dump the clutch, if it goes nowhere or barely the clutch is the issue. If the bike dies, prob not the clutch. If indeed it is lean do NOT run it till problem is solved.

PS check for the simple things like the gas cap vent.

its just slow all through the revs when you actually get it going, makes all the right noises but just doesnt go like a banshee should.

it was fine when i had a spin at my garage but like i said when it gets out it seems to slow down.
