When im in first gear i can shift down like there is another gear

When im in first gear i can shift down like there is another gear............ whats happening? please help

So what happens when you do that? Does it go into another gear? Neutral?

From first gear when i push down on the lever it clicks down stays in first but clicks

It's been a while since I've been in my tranny. I think the shift drum has stops in it for the forks or something to keep it from doin that. Unless you have something loose. Not really and expert. Somebody on here should know.
