New Rods on crank?

I literally have a brand new crank and I am not willing to buy another one....this has cost me well over 1200 to build this bike and now the rods are bent due to water in engine.....I can replace the rods.....the cranks were meant to be rebuilt...why all the negativity about rebuilding them?? is there a how to anywhere

you can buy one cheaper than rebuilding it. You can not true and balance it without special tools and stands. It just isn't cost effective.
