Cleaning Rust Off Shearer's

I bought these shearers real cheap but they have rust. I was wondering how could i get it off easy? i've been using WD40 and fine steel wool, It gets it off little by little but I have a lot of it. here are some pictures. any suggestions without messing up the chrome?

I normally use chrome polish but there was a thread on here awhile ago saying to use wood bleach I think? you dilute it down and soak the pipe in it for a day or so and the rust comes off no prob I think it was some nasty stuff to deal with but works good hopefully he will chime in

Plastic scraper of some kind, SOAK them in PB Blaster or WD 40. Soak rags in that stuff and wrap the pipes in them.

 

I used Neverdull and a ton of time and elbow grease to finish the pipes I had up...they weren't as bad as yours, though to be honest.
