need a stator to test with

Recommended Posts

Rarely does a stock stator go bad and cause the bike to misfire. Usually a problem with the stock stator will cause the bike to stop running. Have you checked the plug caps or tested them?

spec on the caps id 5,000 ohms. They will probably read much higher or "OL" though.

sometimes the stator will go weak and you will only get what you describe- the stator has 4 wires-get the red and green- set your meter to ohms-you should get between 14 to 21 ohm check manuel------peace
