dco3100 Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 One of my buddys is trying to sell the paddles in the title, and I have a pair of regular 10pdl Extremes for my 2000 with those mods in my sig. The question is, should I trade him my 10s for his 12s and a few bucks?? He doesnt plan on using them, hes probably going to sell them, he says hes lookin for a pair of staggards. SOooooo what should I do, are they better for my machine?? Quote
J-Madd Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 See if he will let you try them out first. How much do you weigh? That will play a factor in whether you can pull the 12 pdls effectively. Quote

Im thinkin they might work cause i mean its just haulers, they obviously have a smaller scoop and the much lighter weight seems to be a big advantage as well. what u think Quote
donkeypuncher Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 the only "haulers" with kevlar are extremes. the paddles on the extremes and haulers are same in height, only difference is the extremes are a little thicker. they are too much tire for the top two banshees in your sig unless you get like a plus 8 or 10 swinger for the one with a duneport. i say, keep the 10 paddle extremes. my .02 Quote

shanYE west Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 (edited) the only "haulers" with kevlar are extremes.. Thats not true. Kevlar is a option and can be added to any paddle. They are actually quite distinctive in their looks compared to paddles without Kevlar. You can actually see the kevlar mesh in the blades. Edited July 9, 2009 by Fouledout421 Quote

No.. extremes are thicker which makes the blades more rigid.. but they dont have kevlar mesh. kevlar is a option that is 8.50 per blade. Here is some pics of extreme with kevlar.. not the greatest pictures of them but you can see the mesh at the base of the blades.. and if you saw the front side you can clearly see the mesh. All the white on the tire is the kevlar. No microscoped needed. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...6&hl=kevlar Edited July 9, 2009 by Fouledout421 Quote

I told the guy "looks like your tires are gettin a bit worn down" he just laughed at me and told me what they were. And I agree with you.. I think the 12pdl haulers w/kevlar is too much tire for a dune port. Quote

1996dragshee Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 Definitely to much tire.If they were a smaller roll out say a 70 or so like the kevlars that Fouledout listed in the link above, they would be some what suitable. But being a 73 roll out for a dune port set up..man that is a lot of tire to turn. You could gear down but what's the fun in that when you would have to worry about keeping the front end down.Either way it's to much tire IMO Quote
sheefreak Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 Too much...It'll turn em, but is more than you need therefore working against you. Look on the bright side, good excuse to build a bigger motor! Quote
