tringtogofaster Posted July 5, 2009 Report Share Posted July 5, 2009 hey guys ok heres my problem..... i traded my 400ex for my wife a shee able to get mine back :biggrin: but the damn thing dont run right. got it home started taking of the spray paint it was everywhere lol pulled the carbs there were nasty cleaned them put a new air box & filter on it (thanks brad) kicked it over once started up and idled fine... with no load on it it revs fine put it in gear and take off and it boggs, poops, farts lol runs like shit wont rev ive changed jets,from 220 to 280s, neddle settings,carbs, same thing... i had a jet ski do the same thing and it had a broke reed this one dont. i looked at them they look fine even if it needs a top end it should rev fine(every time ive had to build mine it took forever to start but after it got running it revved fine) soooo anyone got any ideas? im at sea level,tors by passed fmf fatties, no air box lid thats all i know about it lol thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

tringtogofaster Posted July 5, 2009 Author Report Share Posted July 5, 2009 yeah they dont look bad i changed them they look kinda wet... i run 300s in mine shee and it has fatties no lid and ported and its kinda fat ok guys i finally figred it out :yes: anyways first i started swaping parts from mine nothing worked.... it ended up beening the coil..... i pulled the coil off cleaned it up cut the spark plugs wires back put it back together and kicked it once and it idled fine, reved fine,put it in gear took off down the drive way nailed it and it came alive :biggrin:..... my wife has been riding it since. shes happy means that it all good at my house Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
