jetting problem

I bought the fmf jet kit and put everything on yesterday. The bike starts but wont idle or stay running at all unless i give it gas. its an 05 completely stock with fmf fatty pipes and powercore 2 silencers. main jet is 280 and the needle is on the fourth groove.

What have you done to the airbox. Lid, snorkel etc.

You will probably need a 27.5 pilot

everything else is bone stock, uni filter and stock lid with snorkel.

Umm the stock pilot is fine if your running the lid. as for the main you might be to rich and might end up around 250 ish. and as for idling im guessing you have the Tors still on so you will have to bring up the idle with those to be NOBS slotted for a flat head. You will also have to resync the carbs or your bottem end will suck. So all in all get a Tors Eliminator Kit for it. And ditch the snorkel. it is like trying to run with a straw in your mouth. And as for the needle. put it in the midle and you need to set the main before you set the needle.

If you want to run the lid on, at lest get rid of the snorkel

x2 240-260, depending on temp and elevation. there is a little black box with 3 wires coming out. it'ss directly under the gas tank on the left. unplug it.
