dco3100 Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 I just scooped up an 04 shee but the guy doesnt know what kinda mods its got. Im checkin it out and it has keihin carbs, pod k&ns, vforce reeds, cool head, pro circuit exhaust, EBC clutch, modded shift star, and a few other small things. I have only one question, when you take off the stator side cover, can you tell if theres an adjustable timing plate without taking off the flywheel?? (my cousin striped the shit out of my puller trying to use an impact wrench ) Quote
justind574 Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 take the cover off and look on the right side behind the flywheel and see if you can see the degree marks on the plate. Quote
grizzly700 Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 yeah if you can see the degree marks then it has one. most will recomend running +4 timming. if it doesnt have one they are a good cheap investment. like $50 for a billet one. Quote

K cool, thanks. Thats another question I have, is their a difference between a billet timing plate and a painted one, besides appearance and maybe a little weight?? Quote
black sunshine Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 K cool, thanks. Cast is the least expensive of the two, don't know of any advantage/disadvantage. Quote
