So im having this problem where the idle is perfect and as soon as touch the throttle even at 1/4 it feels like its at WOT. I cleaned and rebuilt the carbs and checked the reed valves. Everything seems to be fine. I still have the TORS but I took off the parking brake and the cut the TORS wires a long time ago.

Any ideas besides an air leak??? It was running near perfect last weekend.

Is one of your slides stuck open, or the cable is way to tight.

I loosened the cable and checked it from throttle to carbs and it looks good. I also checked the slides thru the air intake and they don`t seem to be sticking.

first off did this just start or did it over time or what? Sounds like the makings of an air leak somewhere. Maybe ck the carb boots and where the cross over tube goes. Check for pin holes in cross over or boost bottle. Also maybe do a leak down/preasure test.

It turned out to be that the carbs were unsynched after rebuilding. Pretty basic but it is the first time I rebuild any carb, let alone a banshee.

Thanks for the help guys.

i had a simirlar problem. started it up, took it for a little ride and was idling high at times and revving out like crazy with my finger off the throttle. do you guys think this would happen because it was cold or do i have a problem?

airleak, or stuck cable/slide
