papa-smurf Posted June 13, 2009 Report Posted June 13, 2009 hey guys, i just bought a banshee and i was trying to remove my front plastics and the two bolts to the gas tank will spin but will not come out, assuming the threads are stripped and what not. What can I do get these bolts out with the least amount of damage? Any one have this problem before? Quote

Meat Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 There's a hellava lot of banshee owners who have this problem. I always liked Holymans fix. ya just melt out the old insert and epoxy a new insert back in. And anyone reading this who hasn't had a problem with these two gas tank bolts, I suggest you pull the bolts carefully and apply anti-seize to the threads. Don't ever loc-tite these gas tank bolts. good luck papa smurf, your just going to have to get er done. Quote
