2001Stroker Posted June 4, 2009 Report Share Posted June 4, 2009 Too bad the dipstick goes inside the clutch cover. When you crank up the motor, it sucks most of the oil out of the clutch cover. madjimmax Posted June 7, 2009 Report Share Posted June 7, 2009 I dont know why they are trying to get an accurate temp from there that would be great for trans temp while sitting but how will that thing give you an accurate reading at the jug were its really needed. I think that I'll just stick to my mechanical temp gauge in my coolant line I think that will give me a more accurate temp reading. Looks like they are trying to steal an idea from Harley Davidson. The only difference is that the one from Harley is built into the motor oil dip stick seems to me you would get a much more accurate temp then in the trans. Just my 02.
