Ineedmoney Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 Ok so the other day i went to go change my spark plugs ands my left one from when u are sitting on the bike , i had pull off the spark plug cover and there was no top to the plug. it had came all the wya unscrewed. Does this or has this happened to anyone. Imputting on new pipes and rejetting it this weekend hopefully. Quote
swrbansheeboy Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 happens all the time, thread a screw into the old top and pull it out of the cap. install a new plug with top intact and re-install cap. or you can just remove the top from the new plug and leave the top in the cap and re-install... done it both ways with no ill effects... ryansedy Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 happened to me too, one side of the bike wasnt smoking as much as the other side kindof missing....bought new plugs went to change em and that one side had unscrewed completely...tighted em with plyers, and still did it....so i put a really small amount of lock tight, on the very bottom of the threads so it wouldnt mess with the electrical connection...they havent done it since...
