I am having problems with my rear brake pads rubbing the rotor all the time, is it time to replace the caliper? Or is there something I can do to remedy the problem. It's on a '89 and looks to be the original caliper and the parking brake has been blocked off.

is it only barely rubbing the rotor or is it keeping pressure?

if it's keeping pressure on it you can take it apart, clean the piston and slides real good then put it back together using a small amount of grease on the moving parts

It is rubbing to the point that when I slow down it makes a squeeling noise and the rotor gets smokin hot!

I think I am gonna take it apart like you said and clean it up real good. I just got it all put back together after replacing the axle and also put a different hub and rotor on it cause I couldn't get the one off the other axle.
