fyrmn14
So I bought a banshee that the guy said had some bore work done. He said it is a 383 CC shee. I am now trying to purchase a coolhead and wanting to figure out the exact boring. Is there a calculation or something that I could figure out the new bore size off a cc measurment? SAVAGE420
Best way to find out is to take the head off and measure the bore with an inside micrometer. Do a few checks in different places and heights in the bore. Only takes about a 1/2-hour from head on to off, measure bore then on again. Good luck.
2001Stroker
67.25" bore, is the only way to come up with a 383cc motor. Here's the calculation: Bore x Bore x Stroke x 2 x 0.0007854 = cc's 67.25 x 67.25 x 54 x 2 x 0.0007854 = 383.61822345

blowit
Thank you stroker, that was exactly what I was looking for. What he is getting at is the Banshee piston over sizes only go to 66.00mm meaning you do not have a 383 unless you have big bore sleeves or a stroked motor.
