YA*AM*A*HEAD Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 hey guys new to the site and to banshees ...but olny own yamaha ...i have a 2000 banshee...smalll mods vforce reeds boost bottle ,,,and was told a jet kit(270 mains and .25 stock piolets) .and procircuit ss pipes ...i has a bog for the first 3 to 4 seconds on takeoff of having to feather the throttle ,,,after rpm come up it is a raped ape til 5 and 6 gear wot it kinds bogs but if i let off to 3/4 throttle and feather it it aint so bad i am running caster 927 at 32;1....do i need to jet or thin my oil mix down to like 50;1....thanks hope someonr can point me in the rite direction .........*HEAD* Quote

If you have ditched the lid and it has a K&N or somthing similar in the airbox, start your jetting out at 27.5 pilot,air screws 1.5 to 2 turns out, 280 or 290 mains, if your carbs have the stock needles set them in the 3rd position from the blunt end,if it has the dyno jet or toomey 6 position needles set them in the middle clip position. 32:1 is ok for your oil mix...i run klotz supertechniplate at 32:1 in mine.
