Ineedmoney Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 Ok i was wondering if i could buy shearer inframes ro cpi inframes and use them wiht my stock motor. im going to port it before next winter i just dont want to buy and then rebuy pipes later. so would it work good wiht those pipes. it will be all stock but have a k&n air filter and inframes. Darthwall Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 if you get any of those pipes for a stock bike you are gunna loose some power it will pick up close to top end and have no bottom end at all. what I would do is watch around in the build and find parts along the way keep your eyes open you never know what your gunna get for a good deal so keep the cash on hand Quote
RadarRacing Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 I'd get something different as well. It would really run better with something like FMFs, or my favorite Toomey T5's. The T5's will work very well on a ported bike too. For playin and duning or fast riding the T5's or FMF SSTs will be better. Dont get me wrong I love CPIs and Shearers just they are the wrong choice with a stockish motor. Just my opinion. Quote
