Could be that you second shift fork is worn out.

Did this happen all of a sudden or gradually?

check your shift shaft adjustment. sometime the eccentric screw will get worn or come loose and cause it to do that. if thats not it it is more than likely inside the cases

i had that adjuster bolt come loose and it wouldnt shift very good at all but after i bought a new one and put it on it just hasnt ever been right since it is frusterating it shifts great just cruising around but not under hard power so i guess its time to split the cases

you have to adjust it to a certain spot, not just as much as possible. make the clutch engagemant nipple line up with the arrow on the case.

do you or anybody else have a pic of that and if you are talking bout the one that u use to adjust the free play in the clutch its gone i had a chain break and bust the shit out of that casting so its welded back together and the arrow is gone

I had the same problem last week. Found that the rivot at the end of the shift shaft was worn and wobbling. I could actualy see marks on it, were it was going past the shift star. Hope this helps.

I had the same prob a while back. My clutch rod was worn and the clutch was not being fully released when i was trying to shift. appearently it was happening all the time, but i noticed when i was racing only. Good luck.
