Sammy Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 What do you guys think Lean/Rich or just right on the mains? The top pic is the left cylinder and the bottom is the right cylinder. Mods are in my sig. Elevation is 600 feet above sea level, Temp is 65 degrees and humidity is around 80%. Mains are 320's, pilots are 25 and the needles are on the 4th clip down. Quote
dajogejr Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 IMO..perfect. As long as you did the chop correctly, including warming it up on old plugs, pulling them, putting new ones in and making a WOT run...you're golden. Quote
Sammy Posted March 28, 2009 Author Report Posted March 28, 2009 Those were the exact steps I took. I still have a little throttle tip in burbble/hesitation do you think a little larger pilot jet(27.5-30.00) will take of that? Quote
rubberneck Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 Sammy, try dropping the needle one notch to see if it helps the bog/hesitation. I had to go down on needle(up with the clip) when i went to bigger mains. When you get bigger on the mains, it will also fatten it up some in the middle, so leaning a click might take away your bog. Also, plugs look good, but watch temps, if it drops too much go up on the mains. Quote
dajogejr Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 Is it when you first open the throttle? Have you tried changing the air screw settings? Quote
Sammy Posted March 28, 2009 Author Report Posted March 28, 2009 It seems to really do it from about 5%-15% throttle position. Also it got better when I went down a hole on the needle and turned the air screws in a half a turn. So now the clip is in the fourth hole and air screws are at one turn out. That's why I figured it was time for a larger pilot jet. Quote
