I have a stock reed cage setup with stock intake boots right now. So my reeds are stuffed and it works pretty well. Whats everyones experience with these built in crossover intakes. Anyone noticing an actual gain, or does it just put everything in a little more compact package with the $125.00 price tag on it. Im not necessarily looking for someone to tell me it helps them clear the clutch arm, or it works really well on their drag bike. However, I would like to know if I may see some sort of gain swapping out my stock boots to run one. I haven't been able to dyno test one yet, so I only know about reed spacers and the pro design intakes.

I'll second fouledout421. I've run both types of crossovers and didn't notice any single bit of difference between the built in crossover and just stright intakes. I have heard that they will make your bike slightly more forgiving with jetting errors. As to if this is true or not I couldn't tell you.

Is there any difference between them and the stock intakes?

Does the smaller 28mm boot setups have the same size i.d. boot as stock, or is it slightly larger? I run mikuni tm 28mm carbs, and they actually have a smaller outer diameter on the neck than stock carbs do.

The smallest carbs I've ever run were 33's and the intakes I've messed around with were for 35's and 38's. I couldn't tell you about the size comparison to the stockers. I do know that some of the aftermarket intakes have changeable rubber boots that you can buy from sudco. You might be able to call them and get a measurement from them.

I'd say the eliminate the need for spacers, look cool...but don't offer any significant performance Snop.

I ran built in and switched to non-crossover intakes and didn't change a thing.

Can't tell ya on the intake size, I only run the bigguns....:)
