seabass Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 How are these arms? Have them in my shed ready to replace my stock arms and I was recently told they break apart and are no good. They are the newer models and will replace my stock arms. I do a little bit of jumping but nothing crazy and trail riding, etc. Should I replace my stockers with them? Please, facts only!!! My safety depends on it! Thanks. Quote
kodie Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 heim or ball joint? my heim joint droped out twice on lower left no damage done to them but since then I've bought wicked and now will never regret doing it love them. have no experience with stock arms for shee's but id imagine they are better than stock. the owner before me on my shee said he ran them for about 5 years with no probs so if you got the newer models i say go for it. seabass Posted March 22, 2009 Author Report Posted March 22, 2009 Any other opinions? They are only a year old. I believe they're ball joints. Quote
peterlocal22 Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 Any other opinions? They are only a year old. I believe they're ball joints. some people say full flight are great and some say there not. i due however feel that the fullflight will be better than stock esp. if yours are ball joints. however if they are heim joints, which i thought they all where, then just keep an eye on them. spray some wd 40 on them after each ride but becarefull not to get the wd 40 on your rotors, lol. good luck and let us know which way you go peter Quote
redwings Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 If you can get wicked a arms.....i love mine and did research and everbody who has them likes them...I got +2+1. They come powder coated, or bare metal and then i had mine chromed. You can see mine on a thread 2001 banshee reborn this forum. Good Luck! Quote
seabass Posted March 22, 2009 Author Report Posted March 22, 2009 (edited) I'm getting them for a really CHEAP price and already have them in my shed so Wicked a-arms are not an option. We're putting a different bike back to stock and will have to put my stockers on that bike, so it's one or the other. I'm sure performance wise they're better, I just don't want them to fall apart and end up breaking my neck. Like I said, they're only about a year old. Thanks for the replies. Keep the opinions coming if you have any. Thanks. Edited March 22, 2009 by seabass Quote

seabass Posted March 23, 2009 Author Report Posted March 23, 2009 My stock arms and less than $100. This bike came with works shocks with rezzies that need some work. I could get those shocks and rebuild them but I'm thinking of using my stock shocks for a little while and buying new Elkas. We're putting this bike back to stock and selling off the rest. Maybe rebuilding the Works would be a better option??????? Quote
