dajogejr Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 150?!?!?! thats crazy. i think my banshee has like 45hp lol.. is there anyway to make a DM motor that is somewhat duneable? Oh boy...here we go. Yes...just like the street racing in Miami....there is someone bombing around in a 150 HP banshee with a stock swingarm and it is just fine...and he trail rides it all day long. Otherwise...if you have a duner...that's a little too much...and you can build a LOT better dune bike with much less but manageable power. Quote
Dave I. Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 Ask Chariot performance on here how a 4mil DM was for a trail bike......Im sure you saw it on ebay and for sale here. and 150 is still a low guess on the DMX........ill let Sonny say the numbers if he wants since its his motor. Quote
docjcwatson Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 I was going to say the same Dave. I think the 4mil DMX STARTS at like 150hp. Quote

Thanks Dave. However, it is tough to load a motor like a DMX without a waterbreak dyno. You should expect 180's out of an 85 bore DMX on our local dyno. Mine is smaller to fit within the PlanetSand classing, but a standard 85 will run great. We did a 3.60 on its first time out, and a 3.49@91 on its second time out. It will be very hard to fit a DMX on a stock case though, so with that said, it would be better to stick with the DM if you aren't planning on buying billet cases. Quote
TexasBansheeMan Posted March 16, 2009 Author Report Posted March 16, 2009 Thanks for the info. :geek: Quote
rubberneck Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 Dynos are good for comparing mods....the track is where it's at. Or the hill. I do know that 18dmx went 90+ mph up sand mountain nevada. thats just nucking futs. Quote
No Limit Powersports Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 we have the only 4mm dmx built so far too date and there are no numbers on it yet seeing i dont have it ported or plated yet. I know Tim Bond is building one out of a 10mm casting and i think Garrett is too but we have the only as cast 4mm. HP numbers are not known yet but were hoping there stronger than the DM's ... Quote
