278 Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 (edited) How well would a 421 cub with 4 mil. long rod stroker work for trails? and can I get the cub trail ported or do they all come pre-ported? I wanted to get the 421 cub kit from M&M ATV, so what else would I have to do to handle the 421 stroker? Can you guys make a list, just trying to decide on whether to just do suspension mods or go bigger next winter Edited March 16, 2009 by 278 Quote
donkeypuncher Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 from my understanding a cub is basically a cylinder that comes drag ported and the only kind of port you can do to them is a clean up port......could be wrong though. if you are wantin that much power and your ridin trails you could go with a trail ported stock cylinder 4 mill. Thats what I was considering, but I didnt know if I could go with a cub or not... Yeah as far as I know thats all you can do to them too but thought I'd check. Quote
rubberneck Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 For a trail motor, i would stick with stock ported cylinders. If you really want to spend dough and get crazy you could do a cheetah powervalve motor. The cubs come with "drag spec" porting already. You can get more out of them by having further port work done, but i dont think they are what you are after for trail riding Quote

That's what I had on mine, and it was a beast on the trails. Quote
