'04limited Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 (edited) ok guysi have finally decided that i need to ditch my t6 pipes and step it up to a set of t5's after seeing some dyno numbers that i didn't like last week. well i was at a local shop today talking to the owner he also said i should bump up my compression right now im at 143 in each cylinder with 20cc domes he told me i should go down to an 18cc dome i would really like to stay on pump gas do you think this will be to much? if i went to a 18cc over say a 19cc would there really be any benefit performance wise? guys give me some honest opinions here where should i go? thanks Tom. by the way mods are in my sig and im at about 600ft above sea level and i do go to glamis atleast 5 times a year so i need to be able to run down there also. Right around 18-19cc depending your elavtion, is the breaking point between race and pump Quote
RagunCajun Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 I had t6's.....they were awesome. Are you ported? Quote
'04limited Posted March 11, 2009 Author Report Posted March 11, 2009 Are you ported? yes i have porting from herr jugs i also thought that the t6 pipes were great just looking to get the most out of the work i've put into my shee. Quote
sleeper06 Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 You will notice a big diffrence with more compression.Compression is power but race gas is expensive,VP just went down buy me its only$73 for 5gallons.It does smell good too.Im a bad influence tho I beleive nothing but race gas should go through a banshee.Def go with the t-5s,just finished my cousins bike with same set-up,stock head milled on a dune port 168lbs in each side,+4timing,t-5s,stock gearing disgracing FI 700r all night on the street, fun as hell to ride,50/50race/pump93 Quote
'04limited Posted March 11, 2009 Author Report Posted March 11, 2009 ya im definately going to get the t5's just wondering if i should go down to a 18cc dome or maybe 19cc how much compression should i go up for each drop in dome size? like from 20 to 19 cc how much should this raise the compression? sleeper06 Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Its hard to say ,you should call kevin and see he would know best.I also know that my builder will swap domes for shipping he might do the same and you can try diffrent senarios.Diffrent porting styles produce diffrent compression #s Quote
