what do yal think is would be a good setup for me with a 4mm cub, 35mm carbs, cpi inframes, lockout clutch, ect. ect... my prob is when racing the clutch is so hard to pull it is slowing me down from having to pull the thing so hard. i get on one that doesnt have the lockout with good hp, has a gigster 1000 clutch i think in it not sure but his cluthc is like butter just slapping the gears down the track. i just want a smooth easy clutch and im just wondering how some of yal think i should do that. thanks. my bike isnt setup for much dragging now but im about to put a stretched swinger on it if i can get this clutch right.

What i think you need is a duneable override tranny. You got a cub and a lockout all you're missing is the override.

I'd uses and 3 normal clutch springs and 3 stiller ones with a Gigot slingshot lockup to hold in the higher gears and I think it'll hold up for quite a while for ya. With the fzr 1000 plates you'd have a tough clutch. Make sure you get an easy pull lever if you dont have one too.

what is an easy pull lever. i have 3 normal and 3 heavy springs in it.

i would suggest a dunable overide.. thats what i did with my cub.. the lockout holds the clutch plates together very tight at high rpm's.. either sell the lockout and get a good F.A.S.T clutch. or get a dunable overide.. if you decide to sell the lockout let me know.. i also have a polished stock clutch cover if you need one.(it looks like chrome)

i would love love love to have an override dude but i aint got the funds right now. but i think im going to check into this ez pull lever and maybe even think about selling my lockout and getting a whole diff clutch setup. how much do ppl usually get for lockouts used.

i think an override goes for around 400 but if i had the money it'd have one in it  trust me. along with alot more. but thanks for yals help so far im going to check out them fast clutches and ez levers.

Keep the lockup and run all stock springs. You don't need HD springs w/the lockup especially if you are only running a +6 swinger w/a cub motor. If anything you want that initial slip. The lockout is not what is causing the clutch to pull hard. The easy lever will always help.

I can guarentee you if you get rid of that lockup, you will be kicking yourself in the rear later. Another thing to check is your cluctch cable itself. W/moisture comes corrosion and they begin to pull very hard. But don't sell the lockup.

thanks alot man. i will do that just put all stock springs. and check how much them levers are. and i thought about the cable itself if it is corroded making it hang up or just be jammed up could cause it to be more difficult thats the answer i was looking for hope it works man.

I believe it is just longer....More leverage. I think you will be pleased w/the pull of stock springs and a good cable....

i think your right brotha. thanks alot man. i was thinkin it was a lil to do with the cable. your right stock springs and a new cable should help alot.

put a new, motion pro terminator cable on and it made a HUGE diff. put 6 stock springs in it, now it is like butter. its so smooth and effortless a big improvement since before. i never knew a cable could make that big a difference. . . so now im runnin lockout w/ stock springs. 110% better than before. the springs helped a lil but the problem was mostly the cable. . .
