magz Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 it stick about 3 grang and wont stop until i press the throttel agian what could be the cause carb slides in backwards? weak spring inside carbs, weak spring inside thumb throttle, burs inside carb slides or gummed up? i usually pull my slides off and hit them with some 600 grit sand paper to make sure their real nice and smooth so they dont meet any resistence. also is it the slides sticking or do you have an airleak somewhere around the boots from a boostbottle or something Quote

AKheathen Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 their is supposed to be gaskets on the reeds and boots right i'm new to this and building my first quad from ground up factory didn't use a gasket between the reeds and boot, but alot of people run one for insurance. you need one between the reeds and cylinders, though. An air leak would cause a backfire Quote
