mark101180 Posted February 22, 2009 Report Posted February 22, 2009 i was wondering if toomey silencers will somehow work with fmf gnarly pipes without a whole shitload of work. i like the way toomey silencers sound and look and i also like the way my bike is so easy to ride on trails with the gnarly pipes. i would like to combine the 2 to make 1 kickass exhaust that looks like it was ment to be that way. 278 Posted February 22, 2009 Report Posted February 22, 2009 I think the pipes are a little shorter than the toomeys so you'll probably need to fab. something... but why dont you just get a set of toomey's they'll perform great as well plus it may sound a little different with FMF's vs. the Toomey's they were designed for. mark101180 Posted February 22, 2009 Author Report Posted February 22, 2009 well i would get a full toomey but like i said b4 i really like the low end power of the gnarlys and i like how the toomeys sound and look Quote
AKheathen Posted February 22, 2009 Report Posted February 22, 2009 i have a pair of old gold series fmf's with toomy silecers installed. i believ you loose a little on the bottom, but it still pulls real hard from the bottom, when you punch it, so it only seems like a partial throttle loss, still keeping wot power on the bottom, pulling smoothly to the top. they are about 1 inch shorter, but you can turn the stock hangar sideways. not sure if this help or makes sense, but that's just my 2 cents Quote
