When you bump the throttle, does it drop pretty quick to idle? Or does it take longer to idle down to normal?

If it seems like it is idling high or not droping to a steady idle, it might be sucking air. Maybe around the carbs or intake.

If it is normal running and idle, and just making a sound, I would look for exhaust leaks.

A leak down test will help you find out if it is sucking air also.

Not to scare u or anything but Wacko's motor was doing the same thing and we were all trying to figure out what it was. about 2 hours later he blew his Left piston. We were thinking that he might of had a air leak on his crank seal. The right piston looked normal and the left had a hole u could drop a dime through. When it was making the noise it was running great. So we thought nothing of it. It seemed to only do it when the engine was spooling down.

you know i never bothered to pay attention to that, ima check it out first thing in the morning. now that i think about it, it idles down pretty normal. besides that fact that my throttle gets stuck sometimes and idles a little higher than usual, how would i fix that problem?

air leak or exhaust leak maybe. or like lokisbuddy said, you could have a snake laying on top of the motor and he gets pretty upset when it gets hot.
