t6shee Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 ok am new here, i just bought a 2004 shee in mint condition with stock pipes a week ago.and i just ordered toomey t6 pipes, 2into 1 toomey air filter, vforce3 reeds, cool head with 20cc domes and i am advancing the timing +4 degrees. and razr2 tires. ( i know no performance gains there but its pointless to make more hp if you cant get it to the ground.) going to the dyno next week.and was woundering how much hp can be gained from a dyno tune vs a non dynoed shee with all same mods ? blowit Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 I don't believe you will see any difference at all if a competent tuner works on the carbs without a dyno. Remember, a dyno only gives data. It is the tuner's job to know what to do with that data and make use of it. Brandon Quote

Brandon i understand how a dyno works. all they are doing is useing a wideband o2 sensor to monitor th air fuel ratio. i was just curios thats all. thanks for the replys thou. Quote

We dont do that on either of the dynos we use. We jet for max hp and torque. Quote
t6shee Posted February 19, 2009 Author Report Posted February 19, 2009 We dont do that on either of the dynos we use. They dont like the thought of the 2 stroke sauce getting in them. Any builder who is good with a dyno, will be able to identify if your running lean just by watching the numbers on the warmup runs. Dave watches stuff like water temp as well on the crank dyno. Quote
