sleeper06 Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 I the bike runs like a raped ape leave it,with a 420 main you betta be putting some serious hp out,it might run fine with the big jets if your port supports it.Have u run it against another good running banshee Quote
AKheathen Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 i would look into your oil to find out about separation with colder temps and the specific gravity of the fuel you are using @ 3500asl. the higher altitude fuel will require 2 sizes over sea level fuel, and, if it is separating, the jet size will need to be larger at the begining of a full tank because it is trying to pass the thicker premix, which could also account for the white/black insulator. just a thaught  also, if you actually aren't ported, check your compression next time you are at sea level, before you ride. 20's and +4 are risky for detonation below 1000asl Quote
01banch Posted February 19, 2009 Author Report Posted February 19, 2009 As far as i could tell the timing is not +4 but i know in a 300 ft race against my 250r with a pilot 410 top end on it we are meeting up at the end and my 250r is about 65 Hp so it is running well. I kinda think you could be correct on the oil seperation but i mixed a gallon today after draining my tank mixed it as best as i could and agitated it and ran it and the plugs darkened up a bit, I also had a small gas leak coming from the right side carb bowl that i fixed which could have been a small air leak I doubt it though. Thanks for the help guys I think Im gonna run it and if I blow it up Ill go to a cub top end Quote
