badshee1998 Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 (edited) ive got a 98 shee with a play/dune port, cool head w/20ccdomes, +4 timing plate. trued and welded crank, running stock carbs, i have 27.5 needle, with 350 main jets. ive got fmf sst exhaust, kandn filters, v-force reeds. live in midwest, temps around 50 degrees.. havent done a plug chop yet. is 350 too rich on the main?? badshee1998 Posted February 11, 2009 Author Report Posted February 11, 2009 i would say start at 330 and work your way down. as im sure you already know, theres only one way to find out. ya i know i need to do a plug chop but havent had really a chance on a nice day. i forgot to ask but what clip should my needle be on?? another thing,, the bike doesnt necessarily have to smoke if your jetted right does it? i really dont know much about 2-strokes its my first one, ive owned 4strokes. im not sure if ive just havent noticed it much before but it seems like it really vibrates off of idle, it seems to vibrate my motor cause i can see my head vibrate coming off idle, but my buddy said its normal they all do that..
