njbanshee Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 How does it hook now? Every setup is different. Quote
trex banshee Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 like just stated every setup is different but imo with that type of port you could run a shorter swingarm with less paddle. Maybe like a +8 with 10 paddles. Get better hook off the line with the shorter swingarm and then have the less paddle to really spin them down the track. But I could be way off, just seems like +12 swingarm with dune port is loooong. Quote

Yes it is long but my son races the bike a lot and it is safer for him to have the front end down We have 23x10.5x12 8 paddles haulers now but I dont want a 12 inch rim they hook on the line ok but after 3rd they start letting loose. Front end down doesn't = good traction, lol. I'd say with that long thing you could run 12 paddles and even be ok. Quote

I agree. 12 paddles would be a must for me on a 10over.. I just don't know if your dune port will pull 12 paddles very well even with a 12over.. I believe you would be alot faster with a +6 or +8 with 10paddles.. Jmo Quote
