GEARING SET UP

Recommended Posts

So I just got the final pieces of my motor back, and it ocured to me that with all the added HP I should probally regear it...... but to what is the million dollar question?...... Sooo let me tell you what I did or what it has now

4 Mill long rod stroker kit

Dune porting W/case matching for the stroker kit (done by RedLine Racing)

35mm Keihin carbs

V-Force 3 Reeds

Cool Head

Timing plate +6

110vp Fuel

Modded shift star

Vito's HD clutch

T-5's

+6 swingarm

stock suspension...... right I know, but that shit is expensive

It has stock gearing (sprockets) now. It well only be in the sand on the OR coast line and Cali, and be used for riding the beach, playing in the dunes and draging @ night

Any help would be great

Run it stock first. Go from there.

You'll have to figure if you're shifting too often or fast or if bogs at the beginning of each gear and takes too long to wind out.

If you do more wide open/fast riding, one tooth bigger on the front will probably be about right, or two smaller on the rear.

But I would honestly try stock first...go from there.
