liveordie72089 Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 Ok as you know I just received my Banshee and the guy that had it before me rode flat track... Well He had the shocks for the bike on the side and when I looked down at the bike he had Metal poles that he made so the bike would be real stiff... I still have the metal rods that he used and wish I had a picture of what it looked like... The bike was real low and the thing just looked like a monster... I have installed the shocks but if someone is interested in trying this or has tried this let me know... I just thought this would be a good thing to share on here just in case you don't like the way your shocks or whatever setup you have is going for ya and need to get a little different... Thanks for reading... I'm sorry if I took up your time... Quote
NOS_350x Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 unless the track is perfectly flat i would never run rigid, EVEN if it was you loose alot of weight transfer. I would rather run a stock suspension setup before i would run struts. Quote
Canadarider Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 I'm with NOS on this one dont run struts. If you want to get into it alittle you can get some cheap ex300 front shocks and run them and make a rear lowering link or buy a r1 rear shock. Quote
278 Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 Ive seen some drag guys do this for a rear shock, but I wouldnt do it for flat track Quote
liveordie72089 Posted January 30, 2009 Author Report Posted January 30, 2009 Yeah it was just a suggestion sorry guys... He did it to his and I thought it was pretty neat... It actually handled pretty good But as you said needs to be FLAT lol... Quote
