skinindustries Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 ok i got my banshee running last nite but we have a few problems that i cant figure out. 1 of them is it will only start if i spray starting fluid in it almost like im not getting gas but i checked my fuel lines and they are unplugged and the petcock is open cuz when i yanked off the gas line gas spilled everywhere . and the other is when i finally do get it running it leaks coolnt really bad all my hoses are on correctly and tight if anyone could help with these problems that would be great thanks much, brian Quote

skinindustries Posted January 24, 2009 Author Report Posted January 24, 2009 i have no idea on the pilots i am goin to tear apart the carbs today and clean them and look at them but when i bought the quad the guy said it ran great then just died and the coolant looks to be leaking from the water pump like that tube that is bent a little bit i dont think it is sealing right i am goin to double check that too but when it does run it smokes alot is that normal? sorry im new to the banshee i am used to dirtbikes Quote
C&B Posted January 25, 2009 Report Posted January 25, 2009 Is it filling the oil with anti freeze?If it is you need a new o ring on the tube and possibly the water pump impeller seal and bearing. NO it should not smoke real bad at least not when its warmed up. Sounds like a jetting issue Quote
skinindustries Posted January 25, 2009 Author Report Posted January 25, 2009 well it doesnt run long enough to get warmed up it will probly run for about 20 seconds if that then it will just die and i dont know if the coolant is goin into the oil i will check tommorow but when i do get some money i am goin to buy a rebuild kit for my carbs Quote
